From White Mountain to Nome, Ramey Smyth went 8:39 in 1997 with a 15th place finish. I think that was his fastest. When Aliy finished 11th in 2005, her time from WM to Nome was 9:53 - probably her fastest over that stretch. It may be close for second, but like Ramey said, he is probably a few minutes short.
